Carbon Footprints is a premium Partner Connection from Tripkicks that calculates tracelers’ year-to-date total carbon emissions from their trips, and compares it to their previous year’s total tons of CO2e, signaling whether they’re currently trending up or down.

Displayed in the Tripkicks Insights Banner at the top of your online bookings tool’s search results, as well as within the Tripkicks Anytime Banner now available within Concur’s new homepage, Carbon Footprints help travelers make sense of abstract terms like “Total Tons of CO2e” by comparing to relatable equivalencies like CO2 from “Driving A Car,” or “Powering a Laptop.” For a more forward-looking relation, the total “Number of Trees Needed to Capture Emissions” can calculate in real-time from the traveler’s total CO2e, offering a personalized and compelling insight into historical trends and environmental impact.

With Carbon Footprints enabled, traveler CO2e figures are evaluated according to a selected emissions methodology and available for all booked trips as well as past trip history. Expanded functionality shows travelers real-time tracking towards a budgeted CO2e amount for the year. The number of trips contributing to their total emissions is plotted on a progress bar, showing their total CO2e allotment for the year. As their YTD number of trips and emissions increase, travelers can see their remaining balance and track their advancement to plan.
