Carbon Footprint Survey

As the Tripkicks team supports companies in their carbon reduction journeys – one thing has become very clear to us, and it’s the importance that traveler awareness and engagement has in the ability to achieve meaningful results.

Unlikely some familiar initiatives, this is not one where a company can simply bring in an third party expert to handle, or rely upon internal stakeholders, like Procurement, to solve the problem.  This is more complex because it involves the individual actions of every traveler, and companies need to bring about awareness, education, and ultimately, action.

Companies are taking different approaches to reducing carbon.  While some have implemented carbon budgets across their organizations – many have begun with other tactics like aggregating carbon reporting, or initiating a carbon tax.  Most companies though, continue to “watch”, waiting to see the outcomes from their peers, and to determine what is the most effective and appropriate for them.  In the coming year, we expect to see fewer companies “watching” and more companies taking action – and this is where Tripkicks can help.

Tripkicks was one of the first to make travel sustainability information accessible and useful for corporate travelers, with our integration with Advito’s GATE4 methodology, and we are excited to expand that in Concur’s Evolution of Travel (T2) platform (learn more here).  At the same time, we are looking for your input in determining our next initiative.

We have outlined four capabilities that we are exploring – each allowing a company to take further action on sustainability initiatives – in different ways.  We would love your input on which you believe to be most compelling.

For each capability, please answer the (same) three questions.  To help bring each one to life, we’ve included a visual mock-up of what it could look like:
