Below you’ll find an overview of the Tripkicks Launch Process.
You’ll see detailed information for each step as well as resources to learn more and help you complete each step.
Tripkicks with Concur Travel, by authorizing Tripkicks within the SAP Concur App Center.
This is done by an Concur Admin. If you purchased Concur Travel through your TMC, your TMC will likely perform this step.
Why Do I need to Authorize?
Authorization in the App Center allows for the exchange of data between SAP Concur and Tripkicks. This allows Tripkicks to grant access only to individuals who are present in your SAP Concur environment, and stay synchronized as you add / remove users in SAP Concur.
Tripkicks is an App Center partner of SAP Concur, and follows the same authorization process as any enterprise App. If you received an authorization code from Tripkicks, you’ll need to perform this step. If this was already done by your TMC, you can skip to Step 2.
To authorize Tripkicks, you’ll need a specific authorization code that was provided by Tripkicks. Email launch@tripkicks.com if you have not received this code.
To start the Link process, log in to Concur Travel as an Administrator, and ensure that you have these two permissions to continue: “App Center Listing Administrator” and “Web Services Administrator”. If you don’t have those permissions, contact your Concur Admin to request them.
Next, navigate to the App Center, find Tripkicks for Concur Travel, click “connect”, follow the prompts, and then type in the activation code. Once this step is completed, Tripkicks will be notified.
This step contains the technical Launch requirements that are performed by your IT group.
I. Tripkicks Browser Extension Distribution
Tripkicks uses a browser extension to display information in Concur Travel. The menu on the left contains background information on the extension, as well instructions guide(s) for how to deploy the extension. Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge are the web browsers currently supported.
Instructions for the most common distribution methods to distribute the extension. These include the use of Group Policies using Microsoft Active Directory, or a RegistryKey update, leveraging the platform your company currently uses to distribute applications.
Please provide these guides to your internal company IT contact. To set up a meeting with the Tripkicks Launch team please reach out to your Tripkicks or TMC contact.
II. Tripkicks Domains
If you are experiencing issues receiving activation code emails from Tripkicks (Step 3), it is recommended that your organization whitelist the following domains:
Additionally, if your company uses a third-party mail inspection service, like Proofpoint or Mimecast, please be sure to add the domains above to your safe recipients/senders list(s). This information is also contained in the “Whitelisting Domains” document on the left.
Activate your Admin account, following the steps below.
I. Add the Tripkicks Extension
This extension will be pushed out to employees by your IT group, but we’ll add it manually now as part of the Admin setup process.
Add the Tripkicks browser extension in Google Chrome and/or Microsoft Edge, depending on your preferences. If you encounter any issues with adding the extension, please let Tripkicks know, since some organizations may restrict this.
Using Google Chrome: Click here, and select “Add to Chrome”, like the image below.
Using Microsoft Edge: Click here, and select “Get”, like the image below.
II. Navigate to Concur Travel
Once the browser extension is added, launch a new tab in that browser, and navigate to Concur Travel. You should now see a Tripkicks banner on the Concur Travel homepage, as shown below:
III. Receive and Enter Your Activation Code
Enter your email address in that banner, and you’ll receive an email from Tripkicks with an activation code word.
Enter the code word into the activation banner within Concur and press submit.
If you do not receive the email within a few seconds, please check your Spam filter. If the email did get caught in Spam, please refer to the Tripkicks Domain Whitelisting information found in Step 2.
IV. Test Tripkicks
Perform initial travel searches in Concur Travel so that the Tripkicks team can analyze your setup / configuration and make any adjustments to optimize your setup.
In this step, it’s time to customize and configure Tripkicks for your unique program.
Tripkicks comes pre-loaded with best practice configurations, but also allows companies to add further customized information either within the banner or in-line with supplier options, on the search results page.
Tripkicks will further guide you through this process during Launch.

Currently, Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge are supported. As support for new browsers is made available, we will let your organization know.
Please check your spam folders for the email. If you cannot locate it, please contact us at launch@tripkicks.com. If the email from Tripkicks was caught in your spam filter, please notify IT and request that they whitelist the domains.
Refresh your Concur page, and see if that banner disappears. You can also try a search in Concur to see if Tripkicks loads. You can request a new activation code through the Tripkicks banner.
Tripkicks leverages a variety of sources ranging from public sources (e.g., World Health Organization, Johns Hopkins), as well as 3rd party providers such as Travel Risk Management companies, industry associations like ATPCO, GDS’, and visa fulfilment companies. Tripkicks categorizes and prioritizes data so that the most important information is listed in the banner, and additional content (when applicable) can be found by clicking “More Insights”. Tripkicks continues to new data sources to expand the available insights and further enrich the traveler experience.
Tripkicks queries its data sources real-time when a search is performed in Concur. The majority of information is updated as changes are made (e.g., entry requirements, safety information).
If you need to remove Tripkicks, simply right-click on the Tripkicks extension icon, and select “Remove from Chrome” or “Remove from Edge”. If you do not see the Tripkicks icon, click the Chrome extensions “puzzle” icon on the top right of your browser.
